-With your Android device you are able to use the wireless networks (GoeMobile or eduroam) at Göttingen University to make use of a high speed internet connection.

-The network eduroam (education and roaming) allows its registered user to gain access to the science network via service conformal WiFi access points. That is to say, accounts enable to use the WiFi in other research institutions which are connected to DFN (German research network) as well. The advantage is that the wireless network is encrypted (WPA2) and it is not necessary to use additional software to establish a connection. Additionally, it is easy to connect to eduroam, which can be seen in the following example, using a HTC Hero with Android 2.1 software (and the user ID maxi.musterfrau).
